Oregon Tags and Deadlines
Much of Oregon’s deer and elk hunting is limited entry — along with all pronghorn antelope, bighorn sheep, Spring Bear and Rocky Mountain goat hunting. For bighorn sheep, Rocky Mountain goat, and premium hunts, there are no preference points, all tags are awarded based on a random draw.
To apply for any controlled hunt, the deadline is May 15th and winners are announced mid-June. Go to Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife for application information. Spring Bear is an exception with a February 10th deadline to apply and winners announced February 20th.
Once you have been awarded a tag, BIGS is excited to discuss the details of your hunt with you!
Permitted Land Use Agreements
BIGS outfitter is currently permitted to guide hunts in the BLM managed districts of Burns, Vale, Lake View, Medford, Roseburg and Coos Bay which gives access to a large portion of state’s hunting units.
Bend and Salem district access will be permitted soon granting BIGS 100% of Oregon’s BLM land.
BIGS is currently working with the Forest Service to get permits for guided hunts on their lands statewide.
